AICTE Saksham Scholarship for Specially-Abled Students

AICTE scheme for specially-abled students (40%+ disability) enrolled in AICTE-approved technical programmes. Pays the same Rs. 50,000 per year as Pragati.

AICTE Saksham Scholarship is the disability counterpart to Pragati — a centrally-sponsored scheme by AICTE for specially-abled students enrolled in technical degree or diploma programmes at AICTE-approved institutions. The scholarship pays Rs. 50,000 per year and covers tuition, books, instruments, and other academic essentials.

Eligibility: at least 40% disability (PWD certificate from competent authority), enrolled in first-year or lateral-entry of an AICTE-approved technical course, family income within the specified ceiling (~Rs. 8 lakh per annum), and Indian citizen. Approximately 1,000 scholarships are awarded annually for degree students plus 1,000 for diploma students. Renewable each year subject to academic progress.

Apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) with PWD certificate, AICTE college proof, Aadhaar, income proof, and bank account details.
