AICTE Pragati Scholarship is a centrally-sponsored scheme that supports girl students pursuing technical education at AICTE-approved institutions. Each year, AICTE awards approximately 5,000 scholarships to first-year and lateral-entry girl students enrolled in degree programmes, plus 5,000 to diploma students.
The scholarship pays Rs. 50,000 per year, intended to cover tuition fees, books, equipment, instruments, vehicle, fees, computer, software, laboratory, and other essential academic expenses. The scholarship can be renewed annually subject to satisfactory academic progress. A maximum of two girls per family are eligible. Applications are submitted through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and require family income proof (typical ceiling around Rs. 8 lakh per annum), Aadhaar, AICTE-approved institution proof, and academic transcripts.
