About Wingsss College of Aviation Technology
Wingsss College of Aviation Technology is an engineering college in Pune, Maharashtra, established in 2006. It is affiliated to University of Mumbai. Its programmes are approved by AICTE. Wingsss College of Aviation Technology offers 6 programmes at undergraduate level. These include Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Ame), B1.1 Mechanical, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Ame), B2 Avionics, B.Sc. Aeronautics, Mechanical specialization, B.Sc. Aeronautics, Avionics specialization and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with B.Sc. Aeronautics, B1.1 Mechanical, among others. The official WCAT website describes this Pune institution primarily as a DGCA-approved Basic Maintenance Training Organisation (CAR-147/BMTO), affiliated with the University of Mumbai for a three-year B.Sc. in Aeronautics, rather than as a conventional AICTE B.E./B.Tech engineering college. The site names a five-acre campus, laboratories, live aircraft, hangar/workshop and mechanical and avionics facilities, but does not publish an exact laboratory count. Its faculty page lists individual instructors and managers, but no dated institution-level totals or rank-wise counts. The site identifies Anshul B. Sharma as Founder Chairman and Om Sharma as Admin Director; no principal is explicitly identified. The University of Mumbai curriculum source specifies the B.Sc. Aeronautics programmes as three years divided into six semesters. The resolved unit is an aviation training institute/Basic Maintenance Training Organization, not a conventional AICTE B.E./B.Tech engineering college. Its AME programmes are stated to be DGCA-approved; its B.Sc. Aeronautics programme is stated to be affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The website identifies it as part of the Shastri Group of Institutes.
