Overview
About White Memorial College of Physiotherapy
White Memorial College of Physiotherapy is an allied health college in Attoor, Tamil Nadu. White Memorial College of Physiotherapy is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. White Memorial College of Physiotherapy offers 3 programmes, 1 at undergraduate level and 4 at postgraduate level. They are Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Master of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.PT). The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 116 seats. The official pages identify the unit as White Memorial College of Physiotherapy, Attoor, Kanyakumari District, operated by White Memorial Educational Society. It is stated to be affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Published programmes are BPT and MPT; the BPT page states a 4.5-year duration including a six-month internship, and lists MPT specialities in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Cardio-Respiratory and Sports Physiotherapy. The college hospital is described by the institution as a teaching and practical site, but no bed strength, accreditation or MoU validity was published. The official BPT page names Prof. G. Sathish as principal (MPT, PGDSM, MIAP, PhD). The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Directorate's 2025-26 documents confirm the college's participation in MPT counselling; this does not establish 2026-27 intake or recognition beyond the cited institutional and counselling evidence. The 2024-25 government prospectus search result contained a naming mismatch for White Memorial College of Nursing and was not used as physiotherapy evidence. The university's 2024-25 BPT matrix lists 50 seats and minority status, while its 2024-25 MPT matrix lists 16 seats. The current college website states 100 BPT seats, so that conflicting self-reported figure is not adopted as the verified 2026-27 intake. No NCAHP institution-specific approval claim is made.
