Overview
About Wainganga College of Engineering and Management (WCEM)
Wainganga College of Engineering and Management is an engineering college in Nagpur, Maharashtra, established in 2008. Wainganga College of Engineering and Management is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. Wainganga College of Engineering and Management holds a NAAC grade of A, valid until 2028-03-02. Wainganga College of Engineering and Management offers 13 programmes, 6 at undergraduate level and 9 at postgraduate level. These include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, among others. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 1650 seats. WCEM is a private self-financing autonomous engineering institution in Dongargaon, Nagpur, with AICTE Permanent ID 1-4190881. The official AICTE EoA available on the college website lists 2026-27 approved programmes, including B.E./B.Tech. branches in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (180), Computer Science and Engineering (180), Civil (60), Electrical (60), Electronics and Telecommunications (60), and Mechanical (60). The 76 laboratories figure is from the 2018 NAAC Self Study Report and is historical, not a 2026-27 count. The official examination manual states 75% attendance, a semester structure and credit specifications. The official website also describes the institute as NAAC A grade and affiliated/autonomous under RTMNU; the AICTE EoA and official reports should be used for 2026-27 programme verification. Official sources identify the institution as a private self-financing college established in 2008, affiliated with RTM Nagpur University and governed by Wainganga Bahu-Uddeshiya Vikas Sanstha. The college website describes it as autonomous, while the Maharashtra CET institute summary retrieved is for 2023 and labels it non-autonomous; this is a historical/current-status discrepancy requiring confirmation for 2026-27. The retrieved AICTE approval is for 2024-25, not the requested 2026-27 cycle; no target-year course-level intake is asserted here.
