Overview
About Vydehi College of Physiotherapy
Vydehi Institute of Physiotherapy is an allied health college in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Vydehi Institute of Physiotherapy is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru. Vydehi Institute of Physiotherapy offers 2 programmes, 1 at undergraduate level and 5 at postgraduate level. They are Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT) and Master in Physiotherapy (MPT). The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 100 seats. Official college pages identify Vydehi Institute of Physiotherapy as a Bengaluru physiotherapy unit offering BPT and MPT, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and permitted by the Government of Karnataka from 2019-20. The admissions page states BPT selection is merit-based, with BPT duration of 4.5 years including six months of internship, and publishes eligibility thresholds of 45% PCB aggregate (40% for SC/ST/Cat-I); these are older/currently presented admissions rules rather than a verified 2026-27 seat matrix. The official site advertises BPT admissions for 2025-26, but no 2026-27-specific evidence was located. Vydehi Hospital is reported by the official hospital page as a 1,600-bed multispeciality hospital in Bengaluru; the reviewed pages do not explicitly establish an attached-hospital relationship or a physiotherapy-specific posting agreement, so it is recorded as same-trust rather than as a confirmed clinical tie-up. Official college pages state Government of Karnataka permission and RGUHS affiliation from 2019-20. The 2026-27 application page confirms current admissions processing, but the opened physiotherapy page gives programme-specific details for 2025-26; no official 2026-27 sanctioned intake or regulator list was located. RGUHS sources expose two different identifiers: T063 in an evaluation document and PT168 in the 2025-26 affiliation list; both are preserved exactly. The 45-acre figure is stated by the wider Vydehi campus website and is not a physiotherapy-unit-only area. RGUHS intake of 100 is for 2025-26 and must not be treated as a 2026-27 figure.
