The latest detailed institutional figures located are for 2023–24; the 2026–27 website is current in presentation but no 2026–27 academic calendar or faculty roster was published in the reviewed material. Current official materials identify the institution as VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science, an autonomous college affiliated to Bharathiar University, at Kovaipudur, Coimbatore. Official pages conflict: the current homepage header says B++ while its welcome text says B+ for the 2021-III cycle; the 2025–26 annual report also says B++. The prospectus states establishment in 1992 and autonomy in 2010; the about page states autonomy was conferred in 2011, while an older homepage statement says established in 1991. The database uses 1992, which is the establishment year stated in the prospectus and about page. The institution is trust-run and treated as private; no minority designation was published in the reviewed official materials.
