Vel Tech runs an extensive on-campus hostel system on its 100-acre Avadi campus near Chennai. First-year B.Tech students are typically allocated triple-sharing rooms with double and single occupancy from the second year by seniority. Annual hostel and mess fees for 2025-26 broadly fall in the ₹95,000-1,40,000 range inclusive of mess. Mess service includes vegetarian and non-vegetarian counters with North Indian, South Indian (Tamil cuisine) and limited Continental rotations.
