Overview
About Sun College of Engineering and Technology
Sun College of Engineering and Technology is an engineering college in Kanyakumari (Nagercoil), Tamil Nadu, established in 1998. Sun College of Engineering and Technology is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Sun College of Engineering and Technology offers 10 programmes, 8 at undergraduate level and 1 at postgraduate level. These include Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Marine Engineering and Medical Electronics, among others. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 690 seats. The successor page states that Mata Amritanandamayi Math has operated it since 2018-19, with Anna University affiliation, TNEA code 4972, and current programmes/facilities. The legacy Sun site separately identifies Dr. No official 2026-27-specific faculty, research, industry-tieup, attendance, medium, or laboratory-count figures were located. The legacy site contains inconsistent historical identity details (including founding year and counselling code), so those were not carried forward. The cited AICTE EoA is for 2025-26, not 2026-27; no target-year 2026-27 EoA was located. Current official materials identify the unit as an engineering college affiliated with Anna University; the diploma wing is a separate programme/unit context.
