Overview
About Sphoorthy Engineering College Bangalore Centre
Sphoorthy Engineering College is an engineering college in Hyderabad, Telangana, established in 2004. Sphoorthy Engineering College is autonomous. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. Sphoorthy Engineering College holds a NAAC grade of A, valid until 2028-01-30. Sphoorthy Engineering College offers 6 programmes, 6 at undergraduate level and 2 at postgraduate level. These include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) and Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science), among others. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 936 seats. It is an autonomous institution affiliated to JNTUH; UGC autonomous status is stated for 2023-24 to 2032-33 and NAAC A grade validity is stated through 30 January 2028. The official mandatory-disclosure page currently exposes AICTE EoA and JNTUH affiliation documents for 2025-26, not a 2026-27 EoA. The 2026-27 AICTE staff-list PDF identifies Dr. Srinivasa Rao Koppula as Professor/Principal, but does not provide his qualification; the homepage and older leadership material identify Dr. M.V.S. Ram Prasad as Director & Principal, so the current leadership pages are inconsistent. The official R&D page names research infrastructure and MoUs but publishes no supported aggregate patent, publication, guide or funded-project count. AICTE Permanent Id in the 2025-26 EoA is 1-7466761; JNTUH college code is N8. Official college pages and the 2025-26 AICTE EoA place this engineering college in Nadargul, Hyderabad, Telangana. The college is a private self-financing autonomous institution, permanently affiliated to JNTUH; autonomous status is stated for AY 2023-24 to 2032-33. The JNTUH 2025-26 affiliation PDF uses the address spelling 'Nadergul(V), Near Nagar, Sagar Road, Ranga Reddy' and lists the same college code N8; this is an address-format variation, not a separate campus. The college website states NAAC A grade, but no current NBA, NIRF rank, AICTE closed-list or AICTE unapproved-list result was established from the official pages retrieved. The supplied AICTE EoA is for 2025-26, while the requested target year is 2026-27; no 2026-27 EoA was identified in the retrieved official material.
