Overview
About Ramgarh Engineering College
Ramgarh Engineering College is an engineering college in Ramgarh, Jharkhand. It is affiliated to Jharkhand University of Technology. Ramgarh Engineering College offers 5 programmes at undergraduate level. They are B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering, B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering, B.Tech Electrical Engineering, B.Tech Mechanical Engineering and B.Tech Civil Engineering. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 480 seats. As of 2026-09-07, the official website identifies the institution as Ramgarh Engineering College, formerly Techno India Ramgarh and Government Engineering College, Ramgarh. It is a Government of Jharkhand–Techno India PPP institution affiliated with Jharkhand University of Technology. The official prospectus names Dr. Sharbani Roy as Principal and lists five B.Tech programmes: CSE 60, ME 60, ECE 60, EE 60 and Civil 120 seats; the current graduate-programmes page lists CSE 180 instead, so the CSE intake is not resolved here. The official site states that Civil Engineering is NBA accredited, but an NBA validity period was not independently established from the retrieved authoritative listing. The 2026-27 admission process is referenced on the current website, but a readable 2026-27 AICTE EoA course table, Permanent ID and application number were not available in the retrieved material. Hostel facilities for boys and girls and multiple laboratories are stated, but capacities and an exact laboratory count are not published in the readable sources. The prospectus states that academic activities follow JUT syllabus/attendance norms and uses OBE; the exact attendance percentage, medium of instruction and examination pattern were not explicitly published in the retrieved sources. The previously cited About page does not state a college establishment year. The college site identifies the institution as established by the Government of Jharkhand and operated by Techno India under a PPP model. The official site also reports affiliation to JUT; an older homepage passage mentions Vinoba Bhave University and JUT, while the current About and administrative pages identify JUT. The college mandatory-disclosure page was opened but was unreadable and yielded no reliable AICTE EoA details. The opened official JCECEB seat-matrix documents are older 2023 documents, not 2026-27; they identify the college and address but do not provide a current institutional code.
