Overview
About Nitte Institute of Professional Education
Nitte Institute of Professional Education is an institution in Mangaluru, Karnataka. It is affiliated to Nitte (Deemed to be University). Nitte Institute of Professional Education offers 6 programmes at undergraduate level. These include BBA (Honors), BCA (Honors), BTech programmes — Nmam Institute of Technology, Nitte, BPharm — lateral entry, Mangaluru Campus and BSc Anaesthesia & Ot Technology / BSc Medical Imaging Technology — lateral entry, among others. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 180 seats. The input name resolves to Nitte Education Trust, the parent organization, not one degree-awarding college or training institute. The official site explicitly distinguishes the Trust from Nitte (Deemed to be University) and lists multiple separate units. Mangaluru-related units include Nitte (DU) Institutions, Mulki Ramakrishna Punja Industrial Training Institute, Dr. Nitte Shankara Adyanthaya Memorial Pre-University College and Dr. Mundkur Ramanna Shetty Memorial English Medium High School; the Trust site also links the Nitte Institute of Professional Education, whose Mangaluru offerings include four-year BBA (Honors) and BCA (Honors). UGC identifies NITTE, Mangaluru as a deemed-to-be university, but that does not convert the Trust into the university or any constituent college. NIPE is presented within the Nitte deemed-university ecosystem, while the Trust site describes multiple separate institutions and campuses. The stated figures are programme-page figures only: BBA intake 60 and BCA intake 120; they are not treated as a trust-wide or campus-wide intake. Mangalore University's opened 2022-23 affiliated-college page does not list NIPE; it lists other Nitte institutions, so no Mangalore University affiliation is assigned. The official UGC deemed-university list names NITTE as a deemed university, and the February 2026 UGC fake-universities list does not contain Nitte or NIPE.
