KUPECA cap discipline applies to any management-quota fee waivers offered. ## Sports-merit motivators Top sportspersons securing first-year BE / MBA management seats can avail **free admission**, plus TA/DA, sports colours, cash awards, attendance and re-internals support, and financial assistance for top achievers. Ramaiah Memorial State Level Inter-Engineering Colleges Cricket and Basketball (M&W) tournaments and fields teams in 26+ disciplines including Archery, Athletics, Cricket, Hockey, Volleyball, Football, Tennis, Squash, Boxing, Cycling, Fencing, Powerlifting, Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Judo, Best Physique, Yoga, Mallkhamba, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Shuttle Badminton, Softball, Swimming and Gymnastics. ## SC/ST equity pathway The **Skill and Personality Development Centre (SPDC)** is an AICTE-sponsored programme focused on SC/ST students. Coordinator Dr. Madhu Bhan (spdc_coordinator@msrit.edu) runs 2-3 day workshops on Communication Skills, GD-PI, NEAT Portal Campus Placement Training, Resume Building, MS Excel for Career Excellence, Personality Development, Blockchain Technology and Soft Skills throughout the year. The **SC/ST and Minority Students Redressal Committee** (10 members) is chaired by Dr. Anita Kanavalli (Head ISE) with members across MBA, Maths, CSE, EIE, ECE, ETE and CSE-AIML. ## Research / PhD fellowship The strongest financial pull at MSRIT is the **Full-Time PhD Fellowship**: ₹25,000 per month for 3 years (committee-recommended annually) across 7 faculties — Engineering, Applied Sciences, Technology, Management Studies, Electrical & Electronics Engineering Sciences, Mechanical Engineering Sciences, Computer & Information Sciences.
