**By Sakshi Sonal** MSRIT provides **on-campus boys'' and girls'' hostels** within the MSR Nagar campus. The 4-member Hostel Committee is chaired by Principal Dr. N.V.R. Naidu, with Warden Dr. A. Jagannatha Reddy (HoD Physics) and two Deputy Wardens (Dr. H.K. Kiran Kumar — Director Physical Education; Dr. C. Siddaraju — Asst Prof Mechanical Engineering). ## Room types & estimated cost (AY 2026-27) - **1st year**: triple-sharing default. - **2nd year onwards**: double-sharing. - **Estimated tuition+mess range**: ₹95,000 – ₹1,30,000 per year (mess inclusive). [data ceiling: granular per-block tariffs not on hub pages; verify with MSRIT Hostel Office before booking.] ## Facilities - Wi-Fi enabled rooms and common areas - Hot-water supply - Mess with veg and non-veg meal plans (included in hostel fee) - CCTV surveillance across hostel blocks - Access to the campus gymnasium (Department of Sports) ## Gymnasium (campus-adjacent) The MSRIT gymnasium is open to all members of the institute and stocks 2 motorised AC treadmills, 2 spin bikes, 2 elliptical cross-trainers, Smith Machine, Leg Press / Hack Squat, Functional Cable Cross-Over, 68 PVC dumbbells (1-30 kg range), steel weight plates (2.5-50 kg, 22 pieces), 4 flat benches, and accessories including yoga mats, medicine balls, lifting belts and a weighing machine. Maintained by the Department of Sports (Director Dr. H.K. Kiran Kumar). ## Counselling & wellbeing on campus A clinical psychologist (currently **Ms. Harshitha N**, M.Phil Clinical Psychology, Kasturba Medical College) from the Department of Psychiatry, M.S. Ramaiah Medical College & Hospital is deputed to MSRIT and available on campus on Fridays 2:00-5:00 PM. Students register through their Proctor / HoD at the Chief Proctor''s office (chiefproctor@msrit.edu). ## Anti-ragging machinery (mandatory disclosure) The 39-member Anti-Ragging Committee is chaired by Principal Dr. N.V.R. Naidu and includes all 25+ HoDs plus the **Circle Inspector Sri Prabhu Sangar (Sanjay Nagar Police Station, +91 94808 01127)**. Anti-ragging cell: grievances@msrit.edu / 080-23608445. Internal Complaints Committee (CICC, 9 members, chaired by Registrar-Academic Dr. Archna; cicc@msrit.edu) handles sexual harassment complaints with a PARIHAR Police Commissioner''s Office counsellor (Ms. Rani Shetty) as an external member.
