About Lavanya College of Education

Lavanya College of Education is an education college in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Lavanya College of Education is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Bangalore University. Its programmes are approved by the NCTE. Lavanya College of Education offers 1 programme at undergraduate level. The programme offered is Bachelor Of Education (B.Ed). The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 100 seats. Official pages identify the institution as Lavanya Group of Institutions, a unit of Lavanya Education Society, with the B.Ed unit at Ramananda Ashrama, Doddaballapur, Bengaluru Rural. The current NCTE institution list identifies Lavanya College of Education (Institute ID NCTE4143856) at the same address and lists Bangalore University as affiliating university. The college website states B.Ed intake of 100 and duration of 2 semesters (10 months), and publishes eligibility of 50% aggregate marks, reduced to 45% for SC/ST/Cat-1 and physically handicapped candidates. The website lists facilities and practical teaching access but does not publish a dated faculty total, attendance requirement, B.Ed-specific medium, research metrics, or a named practice-teaching school. The college website presents the unit as part of Lavanya Education Society (R) / Lavanya Group of Institutions. The NCTE recognised-institutions list identifies this institution as a private institution affiliated with Bangalore University and lists Institute ID NCTE4143856. The college website advertises B.Ed intake of 100, but this is a college-reported figure and is not included as regulator-sanctioned intake. The website states a B.Ed duration of 2 semesters (10 months), which may be outdated or inconsistent with current programme norms.
