Overview
About KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology
KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology is an engineering college in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, established in 2009. KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology is autonomous. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology offers 14 programmes at undergraduate level. These include Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering, among others. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 1440 seats. KPRIET is a private, self-financing engineering institution under KPR Charities, located in Coimbatore and affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. The current official principal page names Dr. Akila Muthuramalingam, while the 2025 mandatory disclosure names Dr. R. Devi Priya; this reflects different publication dates. Current 2025 undergraduate regulations state 80% attendance for examination eligibility; another R2025 file on the same official site states 75%, so the current dated regulation was used. The affiliation list identifies 7113 as the examination/college code and 2764 as the TNEA counselling code. This corrects the prior institutional-code error. The college is autonomous but affiliated to Anna University. The retrieved AICTE EoA is for 2025-26; a 2026-27 EoA was not evidenced in the retrieved official pages. NBA programme claims were present in the college disclosure, but current programme-level NBA validity was not independently established from the retrieved NBA page.
