Overview
About Kingston Educational Institute
Kingston College of Advance Engineering & Management is an engineering college in Kolkata, West Bengal. Kingston College of Advance Engineering & Management is privately managed and self-financing. Kingston College of Advance Engineering & Management offers 4 programmes at undergraduate level. They are B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML), B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Science and B.Tech in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 180 seats. The 2026 admissions page states that KCAEM offers four 4-year full-time B.Tech programmes and identifies MAKAUT, West Bengal as the affiliating university and AICTE as the approving body. It also describes computing, innovation and incubation facilities and Centres of Excellence associated with IBM, Cisco, CII, NASSCOM and Cambridge, but does not provide exact laboratory counts. The IBM Software Lab collaboration is explicitly described on the KEI industry page. Research projects and incubation support are described, but no supported patents, publication total, recognised-guide count or funded-project amount was published. KCAEM is the engineering unit identified on the current college admissions page, which claims AICTE approval and MAKAUT affiliation. Those claims are not confirmed for KCAEM by the official MAKAUT evidence reviewed: MAKAUT's current affiliated-college pages identify Kingston School of Management and Science (KSMS), college code 173, not KCAEM. KEI's own approvals-and-affiliations page likewise assigns MAKAUT affiliation and AICTE approval to KSMS and does not list KCAEM. Therefore the affiliating university, affiliation status, university code, AICTE standing, 2026-27 EoA and intake are left unconfirmed here rather than transferred from KSMS. The college page advertises B.Tech programmes and states a 60-seat intake for individual programmes, but this is a college claim and no target-year AICTE EoA was confirmed in the cited evidence.
