Overview
About Kannada Balaga Rural Ayurvedic Medical College
K.B.S. Rural Ayurveda Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is an ayush college in Belgaum, Karnataka, established in 1997. K.B.S. Rural Ayurveda Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. Its programmes are approved by the Ministry of Ayush. K.B.S. Rural Ayurveda Medical College Hospital & Research Centre offers 1 programme at undergraduate level. The programme offered is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.). Official site identifies the institution as K.B. Society's Rural Ayurvedic Medical College / KBSR Rural Ayurvedic College, Main Double Road, Auto Nagar, Belgaum (Belagavi), Karnataka, established in 1997, with a college hospital and research centre and a college-reported current UG intake of 40 seats. The site also reports a herbal garden of approximately 200 medicinal plants, but no hospital bed strength was published in the reviewed official pages. The current principal page names Dr. Archana Anand Joshi, MD (Ayu), joined 30 August 2025; another contact page names Dr. Archana O. Kulkarni, so the leadership pages are internally inconsistent. The official hospital staff page is for academic year 2025-26. No official publication was found for attendance, medium, exam pattern, research metrics, tie-ups, or faculty totals. The official NCISM 2025-26 search result identifies institution code AYU0082 and separately lists the college as not eligible for rating because of denial of conditional permission during academic years 2023-24 and 2024-25. The hospital page reports nine OPDs but does not state an OPD-per-day figure; therefore no numeric OPD fact is recorded.
