Overview
About JDT Islam College of Physiotherapy
JDT Islam College of Physiotherapy is an allied health college in Calicut, Kerala, established in 2005. JDT Islam College of Physiotherapy is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences. JDT Islam College of Physiotherapy offers 4 programmes, 1 at undergraduate level and 3 at postgraduate level. They are Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) – Musculoskeletal and Sports, Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) – Neurology and Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) – Cardio-Respiratory and Intensive Care. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 50 seats. The college website identifies the institution as affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), with an earlier University of Calicut affiliation before 2010-11. It lists BPT and MPT programmes, four clinical skills laboratories, and current clinical training centres. The website states that BPT admission requires NEET scores, but the cited page characterises this as an NCAHP-related claim; no independent 2026-27 counselling notification was located here. The official pages do not publish supported figures for hospital beds, attendance, exam pattern, medium of instruction, faculty total, PhD holders, student-faculty ratio, or principal qualification. The institutional page states annual BPT capacity of 50 students, but intake is outside this output schema. The college states it was established in 2005 under the University of Calicut, became an independent self-financing institution in 2010-11, and is affiliated with KUHS. The official site claims that NEET score is required for the next BPT admission under NCAHP; this is recorded as a claim only, not institutional recognition. The LBS Centre's 2025 college list identifies the BPT institution as PY and shows 25 seats in each of two listed columns. No 2026-27 regulator or counselling list was located in the evidence reviewed.
