Overview

About ITM Institute of Design and Media (ITM IDM), Andheri, Mumbai

ITM Institute of Design & Media is a design college in Mumbai, Maharashtra, established in 2018. ITM Institute of Design & Media is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to ITM Skills University. ITM Institute of Design & Media offers 6 programmes at undergraduate level. These include B.Des in Animation & Vfx, B.Des in Ux Design, B.Des in Visual Communication, B.Des in Fashion Design and B.Des in Interior Design, among others. The site shows admissions for the 2026-30 cohort, corresponding to the requested 2026-27 academic year, with four-year full-time B.Des programmes in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Visual Communication, Animation & VFX, and UX Design. The Visual Communication page explicitly states that the degree is awarded by ITM Skills University and describes an eight-semester curriculum and institute-level CIT, DIT and interview selection. No official attendance percentage, medium of instruction, dated total faculty strength, principal/director name, research metrics, or exact lab count was published in the reviewed pages. The listed international academic pathways are collaborations/credit-transfer arrangements, not evidence that those partner universities award the standard ITM IDM degree. Research scope: official sources only; the official pages describe the 2026-27 intake as the 2026-30 batch. ITM IDM's official overview lists five B.Des programmes: Animation & VFX, UX Design, Visual Communication, Fashion Design, and Interior Design. Each is a four-year, full-time programme. The contradiction is material: the Fashion Design page names ITM IDM as the awarding body, while the Interior, Visual Communication, Animation & VFX, and UX pages name ITM Skills University. The official ITM Skills University Design and Media page links to all five ITM IDM programme pages and identifies ITM Skills University as the university, so ITM Skills University is the best-supported degree-awarding university for the programme set; the Fashion Design page should nevertheless be treated as internally inconsistent until corrected.
