Annual hostel and mess fees for 2025-26 are heavily subsidised — typically ₹40,000-65,000 per academic year inclusive of mess. Mess service includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian and Jain options across multiple mess centres with student-elected mess secretaries; menus combine North Indian, Punjabi-Kashmiri, South Indian and limited Continental rotations.

What is the B.Tech tuition fee at IIT Jammu for 2026-27?
IIT Jammu follows the Ministry of Education (MoE) standard fee structure applicable to all IITs. General, OBC, and EWS category students pay approximately Rs 1.00 lakh per semester (Rs 2.00 lakh per year) as tuition, subject to periodic MoE revision. SC, ST, and PwD category students receive a full tuition fee waiver. Students from families with annual income below Rs 1 lakh receive a full waiver, while those from families earning Rs 1-5 lakh receive a two-thirds waiver under the Government of India fee remission scheme.
