The IISc Bangalore campus extends across approximately 400 acres at Mallathahalli-Yeshwantpur in north-west Bengaluru — designed as a research-park academic environment. The campus hosts dozens of research divisions and centres including Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Centre for Earth Sciences, Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), Centre for High Energy Physics, Centre for Sustainable Technologies, Centre for Cryogenic Engineering, Centre for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Centre for Continuing Education and the Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems. The J.R.D. Tata Memorial Library is one of India's premier scientific libraries with comprehensive IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, ACS, Nature, Science, JSTOR and ASME subscriptions. Sports facilities include a Gymkhana, cricket and football grounds, basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming pool, athletics track and a fully-equipped gymnasium. Transport: BMTC routes 271 and 401 serve the campus from Yeshwantpur and Majestic. The campus has its own health centre, ATM, banks, post office, market and several research-park hotels.
