Overview
About Coimbatore Marine College (CMC)
Coimbatore Marine College is an engineering college in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, established in 2001. Coimbatore Marine College is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Indian Maritime University. Coimbatore Marine College offers 3 programmes at undergraduate level. They are B.Tech (Marine Engineering), B.Tech (Marine Engineering) (Lateral Entry) and Programme. The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 80 seats. Official college pages identify C/E. Kaushik Dasgupta as Principal, but do not state his qualification. The faculty page names staff but does not provide a reliable dated total or category-wise count, so faculty is left empty. No authoritative evidence was retrieved for attendance percentage, medium of instruction, research centre, recognised guides, patents, funded projects or NBA accreditation. The website's current course page states IMU CET qualification is mandatory and gives PCM/English eligibility requirements. This unit is a maritime-training college whose B.Tech Marine Engineering is affiliated with Indian Maritime University and approved by the Directorate General of Shipping. The college website explicitly describes it as not AICTE-governed; therefore no AICTE EoA, AICTE Permanent ID, NBA accreditation, NIRF ranking, or 2026-27 AICTE intake is asserted. The college website's current admissions content is labelled for 2025 batches, not 2026-27.

admission sourceFor 2026-27, the college’s admissions material directs applicants to the IMU CET process. CMC’s B.Tech pages state that IMU CET qualification is mandatory, while the CMC homepage separately says that IMU counselling is not mandatory for joining; therefore the counselling step is unresolved and is not represented as a definitive requirement here.
