About BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus
Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Hyderabad Campus is an engineering college in Hyderabad, Telangana, established in 2008. It is affiliated to Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Hyderabad Campus holds a NAAC grade of A++, valid until 2029-11-28. Official BITS Pilani sources identify this as the Hyderabad Campus of BITS Pilani, a deemed-to-be university under Section 3 of the UGC Act; degree recognition is therefore through the university rather than an affiliated-college AICTE pathway. The campus website states a 200-acre residential campus, 12 departments, about 6,200 students, about 300 faculty members, approximately 65 ongoing research projects, and Director-in-Charge Prof. Dharmarajan Sriram on the currently indexed About Us page. The 2023 Academic Regulations specify a semester-based, continuous/internal evaluation system and explicitly state that no minimum attendance percentage is stipulated for examination eligibility. The Hyderabad campus is a campus of BITS Pilani, an Institution Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956; it is self-awarding rather than an affiliated Telangana engineering college. Target-year 2026-27 fee information is published for Integrated First Degree programmes. AICTE EoA, AICTE approved/closed/unapproved lists, NBA programme accreditation, and Telangana counselling/fee lists were not verified in the retrieved official sources; no course-level intake or accreditation is asserted.
