About Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy
Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy is an allied health college in New Delhi, Delhi, established in 2003. Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Its programmes are approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India. Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy offers 2 programmes, 1 at undergraduate level and 2 at postgraduate level. They are Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Master of Physiotherapy (MPT). The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 13 seats. For 2026-27, the institute is an allied-health physiotherapy unit offering BPT and MPT, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and stating approval by the Delhi Council of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. The GGSIPU 2026-27 brochure lists 60 BPT seats, 8 MPT Musculoskeletal seats and 5 MPT Sports seats. The institute's BPT page describes a 4.5-year course with four annual academic years plus a compulsory six-month internship; the internship page specifies 1,260 hours and six one-month rotations. GGSIPU's 9 March 2026 notice states that BPT/BOT admission will use the university's own CET rather than NEET-UG for 2026-27. The official clinical-training page lists affiliations but does not state bed strengths, MoU validity, or a single named parent hospital. Current faculty pages identify Dr. C. S. Ram as Director and list faculty, but do not provide a dated total or rank-wise count. The institute states that it is managed by Shri Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak Trust Society, affiliated with GGSIPU and approved by the Delhi Council of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. GGSIPU's 2025-26 official institute list names BPT intake 60, MPT (Musculoskeletal) intake 8 and MPT (Sports) intake 5; the 2026-27 admission materials and college notices are current as of the target cycle. The college website states no management-quota seats and no direct admissions. GGSIPU's 2026 notice initially mentioned NEET-UG for BPT/BOT, but subsequently stated that NEET would be deferred to 2027-28 and that GGSIPU would conduct its own CET for BPT/BOT in 2026; applicants should follow the latest university notification. RCI is not the recogniser for the institute's BPT/MPT programmes; no exact BCIP row was established from the RCI page opened.
