Overview

About ABS Academy Durgapur

ABS Academy of Science Technology and Management is an engineering college in Durgapur, West Bengal. ABS Academy of Science Technology and Management is privately managed and self-financing. ABS Academy of Science Technology and Management offers 5 programmes. They are Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Computer Science and Technology and Diploma in Mining Engineering. The official website currently presents the engineering offering as the Department of Polytechnic: AICTE-approved, affiliated with the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development, with 3-year diploma programmes in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer Science & Technology, and Mining Engineering. The website's faculty page reports 26 Polytechnic faculty; it does not provide rank-wise counts, qualifications, or a college-specific student-faculty ratio. The cited official pages do not publish a principal, research metrics, minimum attendance, or medium of instruction. Industry names are presented by the official polytechnic page as partners; the page does not specify partnership dates or legal MoU type. The current official 2026 prospectus and polytechnic pages identify the relevant teaching unit as ABS Academy of Polytechnic: a diploma-in-engineering unit, not a B.E./B.Tech engineering college. They state that its 3-year diploma programmes are AICTE-approved and affiliated to WBSCT and VE and SD (West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development). A MAKAUT affiliated-college page lists an ABS Academy of Science, Technology and Management entry, but the current polytechnic pages name the state technical board rather than MAKAUT; this is left as an unresolved affiliation/unit distinction rather than silently merged.
