HITS Chennai operates from a 75-acre integrated campus in Padur, Chennai — adjacent to Chennai-Thiruvanmiyur IT corridor and 35 km from Chennai central. The Engineering campus features 12 academic blocks housing CSE, ECE, IT, Mechanical, Civil, EEE, Chemical, Aerospace, Automobile, Production, Industrial, Robotics + AIML, AI-DS, Cyber Security and Marine Engineering departments. The Knowledge Resource Centre (library) holds 1.4 lakh books, 4,500+ e-journals via DELNET, and full-text access to IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, Springer Link, Science Direct, Scopus and Wiley Online. Specialised labs: high-performance computing cluster (40 workstations + GPU server), VLSI design lab, IoT and embedded systems lab, AI/ML lab, robotics and drone lab, structural engineering lab with 100-tonne UTM, fluid mechanics lab, automotive labs (with Hyundai and Renault Nissan collaboration), wind tunnel, marine engineering lab, thermal engineering lab and a Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Sports facilities: 400-meter athletics track, cricket ground, two football fields, four basketball courts, four tennis courts, badminton (4 courts), table tennis, swimming pool, indoor sports complex, gymnasium and yoga centre. Healthcare via on-campus dispensary with full-time MBBS doctor + 24x7 ambulance + tie-up with Apollo Chennai and Fortis Malar.
