About Guru Nanak Dev Dental College & Research Institute

Guru Nanak Dev Dental College & Research Institute is a dental college in Sunam, Punjab, established in 1997. Guru Nanak Dev Dental College & Research Institute is privately managed and self-financing. It is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. Its programmes are approved by the DCI. Guru Nanak Dev Dental College & Research Institute offers 2 programmes, 1 at undergraduate level and 7 at postgraduate level. They are Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS). The stated sanctioned intake across these programmes totals 117 seats. The official college website states that the institution was established in 1997 by Bhagwan Dass Charitable Trust, offers BDS and MDS, and is located in Sunam. The National Dental Commission college-list page identifies it as a private institution established in 1996-97. The website publishes BDS sanctioned seats of 100 and MDS sanctioned seats of 17, but these figures are not included in this schema. No exact attached dental-hospital name, dental-chair count, dental OPD-per-day figure, accreditation, 2026-27 permission letter, faculty date, research metrics, exam pattern, or medium of instruction was located in the cited evidence. The 100-bed general hospital is reported as a separate campus hospital and is therefore recorded as a clinical tie-up rather than attributed as the attached dental hospital. The college website states that Bhagwan Dass Charitable Trust started the institute in 1997; the regulator college list gives establishment year 1996-97. The website names BDS and MDS programmes and says the institute operates a dental hospital, but no separate hospital name, dental-chair count or dental-OPD figure was published in the sources opened.
