DTU admits B.Tech students through JEE Main + JoSAA counselling for ~85% Delhi-domicile and ~15% all-India seats. Typical 2024 JEE Main General Merit closing ranks: CSE Delhi-quota 1,500-2,500, all-India 800-1,500. ECE Delhi-quota 4,000-6,000, all-India 2,500-4,500. Software Engineering similar to CSE. Mechanical Delhi-quota 9,000-13,000, all-India 6,000-10,000. Civil 12,000-16,000. Carry to admission verification: 10th and 12th marksheets, JEE Main score card, JoSAA seat allotment letter, transfer/migration certificate, conduct certificate, Aadhaar, six passport photos and Delhi domicile certificate for state-quota seats. The first-year fee is heavily subsidised at ~₹1,75,000 — significantly cheaper than private peers given government university status.
