BITS Pilani runs a substantial on-campus hostel system on its 328-acre Pilani campus. 14 hostels — Ashok, Bhagirath, Budh, Gandhi, Krishna, Malviya, Meera, Ram, Rama, Shankar, Shiv, Vishwakarma, Vyas (women's) and others — house students by gender and academic year. First-year B.E. students typically get triple-occupancy rooms with double rooms from the second year and single rooms from the third year by seniority. Annual hostel and mess fees for 2025-26 broadly fall in the ₹1,15,000-1,50,000 range inclusive of mess. Mess service includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian and Jain options across hostels with student-elected mess secretaries; menus are varied with North Indian, South Indian and limited Continental rotations. Wi-Fi, hot-water geysers, gymnasium access, study lounges, common rooms with TV, washing machines and CCTV-monitored entries are standard. The Pilani winter is cold (1-5°C December-January) — warmer bedding is recommended. The campus has comprehensive dining including the BITS Convention Centre, Connaught (the central cafeteria) and several student-run cafés.
