Notable alumni include Sabeer Bhatia (Hotmail co-founder), Baba Kalyani (Bharat Forge chairman), Phaneesh Murthy (former Infosys executive), Kunal Bahl (Snapdeal founder), Rohit Bansal (Snapdeal co-founder), Bhavin Turakhia (Directi founder), Divyank Turakhia (Media.net founder), Arvind Krishna (current IBM CEO — IIT Kanpur, but BITS produces senior tech leaders too), and many founders of Indian and global startups across SaaS, fintech, deep-tech and consumer-tech. The BITS Pilani Alumni Association is one of India's most active engineering alumni networks — the BITSian Foundation and BITSian community runs strong chapters in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, the Bay Area, Boston, New York, London, Singapore, Dubai, Tokyo, Sydney and many other global cities. The BITS Innovation Cell and PIE Centre support student startups with mentorship, incubation and seed funding tied to the broader BITSian ecosystem.
