UVCE admits B.E. seats through KCET (~85% government quota, given UVCE's government-institute status with VTU affiliation), with very limited COMEDK and management quota. KCET 2024 General Merit closing ranks at UVCE were among the most competitive in Karnataka government engineering — approximately CSE 200-500, ISE 800-1500, ECE 1000-2000, EEE 2500-4000, Mechanical 4500-7000, Civil 8000-11000, Architecture 6000-9000. Carry to verification: 10th and 12th marksheets, transfer certificate, conduct certificate, KEA allotment slip, Aadhaar, six passport photos and 371-J domicile certificate for Hyderabad-Karnataka quota students. The first-year fee is paid by NEFT or DD within seven days of seat confirmation; UVCE's government-institute status keeps fees minimal. NRI and foreign-national admissions follow VTU's separate seat allocation process. UVCE remains one of the most competitive government engineering admits in Karnataka.
