Notable alumni include Satya Nadella (Microsoft CEO — Nadella did Bachelor's at Manipal but NIT-W has produced senior tech leaders including Tilak Shastri, Pranay Anchuri and many others), and several founders of Indian and global startups. The institute's heritage as Regional Engineering College Warangal (1959) gives it 65+ years of alumni — among the deepest engineering alumni networks in South India. The NIT-W Alumni Association runs strong chapters in Warangal, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune, the Bay Area, Boston, New York, London, Singapore, Dubai and the Gulf region.
