NIT Srinagar — established 1960 as REC Srinagar, NIRF #73, NAAC A — is the only NIT in Jammu and Kashmir region. Recent batches have seen the highest international offer above USD 150,000 and the highest domestic offer around ₹1 crore, with average packages around ₹13-17 LPA. CSE, EE and ECE branches command medians around ₹17-25 LPA, while Mechanical, Civil, Chemical and Architecture branches sit in the ₹10-14 LPA range.
