NIT Sikkim campus spans 75 acres in Ravangla, South Sikkim — 70 km from Gangtok and 5 km from Ravangla town. The campus is at 2,200 meters elevation with views of the Kanchenjunga range — the most scenic NIT location in India. Academic blocks include the Computing Centre (300 high-end workstations), Research Labs, Communication Labs and a dedicated Microsoft Innovation Centre. The institute operates an HPC cluster with 128 cores for AI/ML research. The library houses 65,000 books, 2 lakh e-books, 18,000 journal subscriptions through DELNET and access to ACM, IEEE Xplore, Springer and Elsevier digital archives. Sports facilities include a 400-meter athletics track, cricket ground, basketball, volleyball, badminton courts, indoor sports hall, and a 1,000-square-meter gymnasium. Trekking and mountaineering club is unique to NIT Sikkim given the Himalayan location. Healthcare is provided by an in-campus dispensary with full-time MBBS doctor + 24x7 ambulance + tie-up with Sikkim Manipal Institute Medical Sciences. Campus has reliable solar + diesel-backup power, RO water across hostels, and dedicated NKN backbone (1 Gbps). The Wi-Fi mesh covers all academic buildings and hostels at 100 Mbps per user. Public transport: Bagdogra airport (140 km), Siliguri railway station (130 km).
