NIT Mizoram alumni network spans roughly 2,000 graduates given the institute opened in 2010. Notable alumni concentrate in product engineering at IT services firms, central government PSUs, and Northeast region governance. The Alumni Association operates chapters in Aizawl, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, NCR, Mumbai, Singapore, Bay Area and London. The Founders Club connects 5+ NIT-Mizoram alumni founders running funded startups in SaaS, fintech, edtech and Northeast tourism tech. Annual Alumni Meet brings 150+ alumni back to campus every December. The Alumni Mentorship Program pairs final-year students with industry-experienced alumni for placement preparation and career guidance — currently active for 60+ student-alumni pairs. The institute has placed alumni at FAANG, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan since 2018.
