Research at MSRIT 2026 — CollegeAndFees

Research at MSRIT spans VLSI and embedded systems, AI-ML, Cyber Security, Renewable Energy and Smart Grids, Mechatronics and Robotics, Imaging and Image Processing, Industrial IoT, and Computational Mechanics. The institute hosts a Centre for Cyber Security and Privacy and a Centre of Excellence in Networking and IoT. Research funding comes from DST, MeitY, AICTE RPS, ISRO RESPOND, DRDO, BIRAC and the Karnataka State Science and Technology Council. Recent patents and publications focus on energy-efficient VLSI, low-cost diagnostic medical hardware, intelligent transportation systems, agritech sensors and 5G testbeds. Industry partnerships include Bosch, Cisco, Texas Instruments, Wipro, Siemens, ANSYS, MathWorks, IBM, AWS, Bharat Electronics and Robert Bosch Engineering. Faculty publish in IEEE, ACM, Elsevier and Springer venues with international collaborations through MoUs with select Asian and European universities, and a healthy track record of student co-authored papers in Scopus-indexed venues.
