Jamia Millia Islamia's 200-acre campus at Jamia Nagar in south-east Delhi is among India's premier central-university campuses. Branch-specific facilities span Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Sciences and Humanities, Architecture, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, the Centre for Nano Science and Nanotechnology, Centre for Coordination Chemistry, Centre for Computer Application and Education, Multidisciplinary Centre for Advanced Research and Studies (MCARS) and many discipline-specific centres. The Dr. Zakir Husain Library is one of India's premier academic libraries with 4,50,000+ volumes including extensive engineering, humanities and Islamic studies collections. Sports facilities include cricket and football grounds, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, athletics track, swimming pool, indoor sports complex and gymnasium. Transport: dedicated buses connect campus to Okhla, Sarita Vihar, Lajpat Nagar and other Delhi metro stations; Jamia Millia Islamia metro station on the Magenta Line serves the campus directly.
