IIT Ropar alumni — given the institute relatively young age (established 2008) — include senior product, engineering, research and entrepreneurship professionals across Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Adobe, Walmart Global Tech and many Indian deep-tech and SaaS startups. Many alumni have proceeded to PhD programmes at MIT, Stanford, CMU, ETH Zurich, Cambridge, Oxford and Tokyo Tech. The IIT Ropar Alumni Association runs growing chapters in Ropar, Chandigarh, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, the Bay Area, Boston, Singapore and Tokyo, with annual reunions and the IIT Ropar Foundation supporting scholarships, research initiatives and the IIT Ropar Innovation Centre.
