Hostel at IIT Indore 2026 — CollegeAndFees

IIT Indore runs an extensive on-campus hostel system on its 525-acre Simrol campus. First-year B.Tech students typically get double-occupancy rooms with single rooms from the second year by seniority. Annual hostel and mess fees for 2025-26 are heavily subsidised — typically ₹40,000-65,000 per academic year inclusive of mess. Mess service includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian and Jain options across multiple mess centres with student-elected mess secretaries. Wi-Fi, hot-water geysers, gymnasium access, study lounges, common rooms with TV, washing machines and CCTV-monitored entries are standard. The Indore-Simrol weather is moderate with hot summers (38-42°C April-June) and mild winters. Bring own bedding, padlock, bucket and toiletries.
