IIIT Hyderabad is exceptionally strong in CSE research given its CSE-focused mandate. Research spans AI-ML and Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Cyber Security, Robotics, Distributed Systems, Theoretical Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cognitive Science, VLSI Design and Computer Networks. The institute hosts the Centre for Visual Information Technology, Centre for Communication and Computing, Centre for Cyber Security, Cognitive Science Research Centre, Robotics Research Centre, Centre for Knowledge Economic Society and many discipline-specific centres.
