IIIT Hyderabad runs an extensive on-campus hostel system on its 66-acre Gachibowli campus. First-year B.Tech students are typically allocated double-occupancy rooms with single rooms available from the second year by seniority. Annual hostel and mess fees for 2025-26 broadly fall in the ₹85,000-1,15,000 range inclusive of mess. Mess service includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian and Jain options with North Indian, South Indian, Hyderabadi and Continental rotations. Wi-Fi, hot-water geysers, gymnasium access, study lounges, common rooms with TV, washing machines and CCTV-monitored entries are standard. The institute culture emphasises academic discipline with structured study groups; no rigid curfew given senior cohort but quiet hours observed in study areas. Bring your own bedding, padlock, bucket and toiletries. Off-campus PG fallbacks in Gachibowli/HITEC City are available but most students prefer on-campus given short walking distance to academic blocks.
