IEM Kolkata operates from two campuses: Salt Lake (Sector V — main, 17 acres) and Newtown (15 acres). The Salt Lake campus features 11 academic blocks housing CSE, ECE, IT, Mechanical, Civil, EEE, Chemical, Aerospace, and emerging streams like AI-DS, Cyber Security and Robotics. The Newtown campus houses MBA and additional engineering streams. The Knowledge Resource Centre (library) holds 1.4 lakh books, 4,500+ e-journals via DELNET, and full-text access to IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, Springer Link, Science Direct, Scopus and Wiley Online. Specialised labs: high-performance computing cluster (40 workstations + GPU server), VLSI design lab, IoT and embedded systems lab, AI/ML lab, robotics lab, structural engineering lab with 100-tonne UTM, fluid mechanics lab, automotive labs, thermal engineering lab, GIS lab and a Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Sports facilities: cricket ground, football field, basketball court, two tennis courts, badminton (4 courts), table tennis, swimming pool (limited use), indoor sports complex, gymnasium and yoga centre. Healthcare via on-campus dispensary with full-time MBBS doctor + tie-up with AMRI Hospital and Apollo Gleneagles Kolkata. Wi-Fi covers entire campus at 100 Mbps. Bus shuttles connect campus to Sealdah railway station and Kolkata Howrah.
