BMSCE has limited on-campus hostel capacity given the constrained 11.75-acre Basavanagudi campus footprint. The institute operates separate boys and girls hostels with triple-sharing as the default for first-year students; double and single occupancy come up by seniority. Annual hostel and mess fees for 2025-26 typically run ₹85,000-1,20,000 inclusive of mess. Mess offers vegetarian and non-vegetarian counters with North Indian, South Indian and Continental items rotated daily. Wi-Fi, hot-water geysers, study lounges, gymnasium access and CCTV are standard. Curfew is typically 9:30 pm for first-years with weekend leave requiring written parent confirmation. Bring your own mattress, two bedsheets, pillow, blanket, padlock, steel mug and bucket. Given limited hostel capacity, many students take PG accommodations at Basavanagudi, Banashankari, Jayanagar and JP Nagar at ₹9,000-15,000 per month with food. The central location is highly convenient for students relying on PG accommodation.
