RVCE has separate hostels for boys (Swami Vivekananda Hostel) and girls (Saraswathi Bai Devi Hostel) on the Mysuru Road campus. Rooms are predominantly triple and double occupancy for first-years, with single rooms available from the second year by seniority. Hostel charges for 2025-26 are typically ₹85,000-1,10,000 per year inclusive of mess (vegetarian and non-veg options at separate counters), with extra charges for AC rooms in select blocks. Hot-water geysers, Wi-Fi, CCTV-monitored entrances and 24×7 security are standard. Mess timings broadly run 7:00-9:30 (breakfast), 12:30-14:30 (lunch), 19:30-21:30 (dinner) with North Indian, South Indian and Continental options on rotation. Weekend leave requires hostel-warden approval and a parent confirmation call. Students typically bring their own bedding (mattress, pillow, two bedsheets, blanket), a steel bucket and mug, padlock for the cupboard and basic toiletries. Local PG accommodations on Mysuru Road, Kengeri and Rajarajeshwari Nagar provide a fallback at ₹8,000-15,000 per month if hostel seats run out.
