Research at New Horizon College of Engineering 2026

Research at NHCE covers AI-ML and Data Science, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Cyber Security, Renewable Energy, Robotics, Industrial IoT, Mechatronics, Civil Infrastructure and Smart Cities. Funded projects come from DST, AICTE RPS, MeitY, DRDO and the Karnataka State Science and Technology Council. Faculty publish in IEEE, Springer, Elsevier and Scopus-indexed journals with steady year-on-year output. Recent patents include themes around IoT-based agritech sensors, edge AI for healthcare, energy-efficient VLSI and intelligent transportation. Industry-academia partnerships include Cisco (Networking Academy), IBM, Microsoft, AWS, Bosch and Robert Bosch Engineering. The institute participates in the Atal Innovation Mission and Atal Tinkering ecosystem. NHCE supports student-led innovation through dedicated mentorship at the Innovation Centre, with several student projects publishing in Scopus-indexed venues each year.
