MIT WPU engineering alumni network spans 60,000+ graduates with strong density across IT services, automotive, BFSI, defence, energy and entrepreneurship. Notable alumni include Vishwanath Karad (founder, MAEER Trust), Rahul Karad (Vice President, MIT WPU), Anand Deshpande (founder, Persistent Systems — though founder pre-WPU, he is associated as a senior advisor and alumnus speaker), Ganesh Natarajan (former CEO Zensar Technologies), Subroto Bagchi (co-founder, Mindtree), Shantanu Khosla (former MD, Crompton Greaves), Ashish Bhatia (President, Mahindra Logistics), Rajeev Bhatia (founder, Bhatia Auto), and several senior leaders at TCS, Infosys, Bajaj Group, Tata Group, L&T and Mahindra. The MIT WPU Alumni Association operates dedicated chapters in Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, NCR, Hyderabad, Singapore, Dubai, Bay Area and London. Annual alumni meet "Vishwabandhutva" attracts 1,500+ alumni each January. The Alumni Mentorship Program connects 800+ student-alumni pairs annually for placement preparation and entrepreneurship guidance. The Alumni Founders Club supports student-led startups via the MIT Innovation Park with seed grants of INR 5-10 lakh per project.
