Research at IIT Jammu 2026

IIT Jammu spans every major engineering and applied science discipline with strengths in Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Materials Science, AI-ML and Frontier Defence Engineering. The institute hosts the Centre for Renewable Energy, Centre for Cyber Security, Centre for Sustainable Engineering, Innovation Centre and many discipline-specific centres. The institute files 30+ patents annually with publications in Nature, IEEE Transactions, ACM, Springer, Elsevier and ACS venues. Major funding from DST, AICTE, MeitY, DBT, ISRO, DRDO, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, J&K State Council and several international agencies. Industry partnerships span Robert Bosch, Texas Instruments, Tata Group, Reliance, Microsoft, Google, NVIDIA and many deep-tech startups.
