IIT Guwahati's 700-acre campus on the banks of the Brahmaputra is among India's most scenic engineering campuses. Branch-specific facilities span Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Biosciences and Bioengineering, Centre for Energy, Centre for the Environment, Centre for Linguistic Sciences and Technology, Centre for Educational Technology, Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems, IITG Foundation for Innovation and Incubation Centre and several discipline-specific centres. The Central Library holds 3,80,000+ volumes with comprehensive IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, ACS, Nature, Science and Wiley subscriptions. Sports facilities include cricket and football grounds, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, athletics track, swimming pool, indoor sports complex and a fully-equipped gymnasium. Transport: dedicated buses connect campus to Guwahati railway station, the airport and Pan Bazaar. The Guwahati airport offers excellent connectivity to all of India.
