IIIT Delhi runs separate boys and girls hostels on the Okhla Phase 3 campus. First-year B.Tech students typically get double-occupancy rooms with single rooms from the second year by seniority. Annual hostel and mess fees for 2025-26 typically run ₹85,000-1,15,000 inclusive of mess. Mess service includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian and Jain options with North Indian, Punjabi, South Indian and Continental rotations. Wi-Fi, hot-water geysers, gymnasium access, study lounges and CCTV are standard. The institute culture emphasises academic discipline; no rigid curfew given senior cohort but quiet hours observed in study areas. The Delhi winter is cold (5-12°C December-February) with smog conditions; warmer bedding and N95 masks recommended.
